Over the years, I have worked with several real estate agents, both to list as well as buy properties. I have used agents to purchase and sell rental property as well as primary homes. I can say with certainty that Pat Corr is as good as they come. Two years ago, when we were looking to sell a home, some friends recommended Pat saying that he "wasn't cheesy". As trite as it sounds, it's true. Pat is a straight shooter and tells it like it is. If you want someone to coddle you or to tell you what you want to hear, he's not your guy. But if you want someone who will give you a straight answer and tell you what you need to hear, he's the one. He is a no nonsense negotiator and got our property sold seamlessly and made what could have been a painful process into a seamless transaction. He is very responsive via whatever mode of communication you prefer to use, and extremely reliable (what he says he'll do, he does). Because of this solid experience, we used him again, this time to help us find and buy a primary residence. I valued Pat's opinion on topics ranging from creative financing options (given his experience in public accounting) to how sump pumps work (given his background in construction and building). But what meant the most to our family was his understanding of our needs and values -- so many realtors will inundate you with a barrage of listings for you to filter through. With the amount of information available on-line, the last thing we needed was someone to simply provide us with listings that met our price range. In our experience, Pat carefully hand-selected homes to show us and when asked about other properties, he'd be the first to say "Here's what I don't like about that house" or "I don't see you guys in that house". In every case, he was right. He would also know details about homes properties that you don't see in the MLS system. For example, when I would call and ask him about a certain address, Pat would be able to recall historical information about why the home didn't sell 10 years ago, who the family was who moved out and why they moved, and in some cases, was the listing agent for that same property years ago. We saw a lot of value in his experience. I would highly recommend Pat. He is a seasoned agent who advocates for his clients. He is patient (we took over 2 years to find a house to buy), brutally honest, hard working, and a pleasure to work with. Norman Y

We have known and chosen to work with Pat for about eight years now. In that time we have sold one house and bought two with Pat as our agent. We regularly recommend him to our friends as a great person to help them find their future home and to give them the best chance to end up as the buyer when the bidding gets competitive. Pat has a great "toolbox" of knowledge ranging from things you should know when looking at a house (electrical/plumbing/sewer systems, sales history, neighborhood info) to things you want to know when writing up an offer or signing a contract. He acts on your requests quickly and never wastes your time. Pat picks up on your cues and efficiently narrows the search to suitable homes and areas. He is a very good communicator and keeps you in the loop--which is very reassuring when things are moving quickly with the back and forth of purchase negotiations. His experience and his reputation amongst his real estate peers have helped us get that extra edge when making a bid. (We have come out on top twice--one house we bought had three offers, the other house we bought had ten!) In addition to all that he's a very pleasant person to spend those many hours looking at "not quite the one" properties until you do find the perfect fit. I doubt you could find a more effective agent when looking for a house in Seattle. Robin B

When my wife and I decided to buy our first home, we were nervous to whom we should use to help guide us through this process. Pat was a great resource, using both his personal and professional knowledge of the area to provide insight into the homes that we were reviewing. He guided us to look at homes in ways that we never had and ultimately helped us find our current home. My wife and I appreciate all of the help that he provided us and recommend him to any potential customers for either their first home or just their next one. Brian W

We were first time home buyers when we started working with Pat and are now happy home owners. We have been incredibly satisfied with our home, and have absolutely no regrets. Our search began over a year and a half ago when we relocated to Seattle from Southern California. Pat was referred to us by a professional colleague. At that time we knew little about all the different Seattle neighborhoods and housing market. It was clear from the start that Pat was very knowledgeable about the area. Being a Seattle native he was able to give us a local's perspective which was invaluable to us as newcomers to the region. After our brief initial search we were not able to find a home, and chose to rent for a year instead. After getting to know the city we decided to start our search again focusing on the NE Seattle neighborhoods. In all, we searched for about 4 months, going out with Pat every week or so. We easily looked at over 75 homes which Pat had selected based on our list of requirements. Pat was always professional, always available and incredibly patient. The market was a bit more competitive than we had realized. It was clear that Pat's priority was not to just sell us a home but to find us the right home. Pat's knowledge about neighborhoods, construction and home value was instrumental in our search. We never felt like he pushed us toward a purchase that would not have been right for us just to make the sale. We ultimately found the right home for us. There were multiple offers on the home including at least one offer that went above our price. Pat helped us put together a solid offer, and if not for his help we likely would not have ended up with our home. We would have no hesitation to use him again or refer him to others. Courtney F.

The housing market in Seattle is crazy and you are going to need a knowledgeable and proactive agent to make sure you don't miss out or make a mistake you'll regret for years to come. My wife and I have purchased two homes with Pat's patience and expertise and we couldn't be happier with his service. We looked for over 5 months on both purchases for the right fit. Pat stayed upbeat and stuck with us the entire time. His previous experience in residential construction and intimate knowledge of Seattle give him an edge on most agents out there. We've recommended Pat to multiple friends who also have nothing but positive things to say about their experience with him. Sean & Rhonna

After nearly two years looking for a home and working with an online real estate company we were finally totally fed up. Honestly as first time homebuyers we had no clue what we didn't know and couldn't even see the bad in what we were looking at. Pat treated us with respect, sympathy for our past experience, and built trust from the first meeting. Throughout the entire process Pat taught us what to look for, what to weigh, and what to walk away from. We will certainly be back as repeat business for Pat. Andres H.

Pat Corr was the listing agent for a new construction home of ours in the Bryant neighborhood recently. We would first of all like to thank him again for the excellent job he did during a very difficult time for us. We have known Pat for years, but this was the first time he worked as our agent. He was always knowledgeable, thoughtful and he was funny too. Most importantly for us however was his advice to stage the home and his price opinion. The house was on a busy street, so both the staging and pricing were critical. Pat's price was lower than what we had hoped for, but he was right. He got it sold in week!

Pat is a fantastic agent and helped us sell a home and buy our current home. He is the consummate professional, with very strong ethics, and is an ideal representative both for a buyer and seller. Pat has an encyclopedic knowledge of the market (particularly in Seattle) and knows construction styles and things to watch for when buying a home. He is thorough when researching homes to show and was careful when doing an assessment of our house for sale. He listens to feedback and takes your needs/wants into account without just trying to "make you happy" at the expense of ensuring you are getting a fair price and good home.
I highly recommend Pat, he is a pleasure to work with. Jennie L.

When searching for our first home back in 2005, we were fortunate enough to be referred to Pat by some family friends. His knowledge of the Wedgwood/Ravenna/NE Seattle neighborhood was impressively thorough, especially given that I'd lived in that area my whole life. Amidst the craziness of the market we were somehow able to find a home that was in our price range and that matched our needs. We were so grateful to have had an agent like Pat on our side during that first home-buying process - he was patient with our questions, took the time to explain the paperwork to us (very important), and was endlessly energetic in showing us over 50 homes and explaining the pros and cons of each.
Fast forward several years and two kids later, and we needed a new space to fit our growing family. To save money, we decided to go with Redfin to sell our home. This ended up being an extremely frustrating and disappointing decision. To me, the savings were not worth the headache. I was more than relieved that we decided to go with Pat again to find a new home.
Again, through this process, we were impressed with Pat's professionalism and market knowledge. His construction/building experience was more in evidence this time around and as mundane as that might seem to some, to us it only contributed to what makes Pat stand out amongst other agents. He is also the type of agent who will walk through every room in a potential home with you to point things out or answer questions - unlike others who just unlock the door and wait there while you cluelessly wander about.
One of the other important things I want to mention is that Pat is really on your side - he is invested in you and your family, your needs and wants, and takes it all into account - but is realistic at the same time. He's also a good advisor - he listens, makes sure that you understand things, and guides you in the right direction - yet doesn't make the decision for you. I would highly, highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. There is no one else I would rather have in my corner. Becky H.

Over the past 30 years we have bought and sold many houses, and I will say without a doubt that Pat is the most professional, hardest working and all-around "best" real estate agent we have ever met.
Pat has been our agent to sell two houses and buy another. In all the transactions he was totally dedicated to us and assisted in all portions of the sale. Pat stays on top of the deal every day, he makes sure that all important things happen and nothing slips through the cracks.
His background is as a CPA, but besides deep business experience, he also has better knowledge of Washington real estate law than many lawyers. His skills in marketing and negotiating have also been extremely helpful for us.
I have no qualms about giving Pat the highest recommendation. You won't find another agent with his combination of professionalism, integrity and commitment to his customer's success. Jim S.

I've worked with Pat on four real-estate transactions over the last few years: buying a first home, selling that home, buying a bigger house, and separately selling a condo. The circumstances have been different but I've consistently appreciated his experience, counsel, and reliability in each case. Andy O.
Pat's experience and standing in the realtor community is evident. He is professional, calm and thorough in his approach but maintains and shares a candid perspective on the human element that plays a role in these large transactions. He seems well known and well regarded in the local realtor community; for example, other realtors at open houses would quickly recognize his name and 'back off' from a hard sell or trying to secure us as new clients. His experience in construction felt like it made each house tour feel like a mini-inspection (which was appreciated), his estimates of repair/work costs were proved accurate when we subsequently invited bids, and we've been pleased with the work done by the people to whom he has referred us (mortgage broker, roofer..)
A few years ago my wife and I were thinking about purchasing a specific cabin near Stevens Pass. Despite being some 70 miles out of Seattle and well outside of his typical area, and Pat happily met us out there, gave us his commentary, and did the background research that helped us make the decision to pass on that property -- a decision on which we have no regrets.
I happily recommend Pat to friends whether they be a first time buyer or looking to move into a larger home.

My father and I used Pat as the selling agent for his house. Having lived in it for 58 years this was no small matter. Pat had sold my aunt's house several years prior and we thought we'd give him another shot.
Pat was thoroughly professional, hard-working, and skillful. We had looked at other agents as well, but Pat knew the area better, and thought we could get a higher price for the home. He was right, and he put a lot of hours into it to get the right buyer. There were many open houses, and helpful advice for us along the way. He was patient, both with us and the process as a whole.
I would heartily recommend Pat for either your buying or selling real estate needs. Phil N.

I was referred to Pat by an acquaintance, and as a young first-time home buyer really appreciated his patience, knowledge, and commitment to finding me a home I love. Pat helped me navigate a very competitive market. He really took the time to explain things and made sure I understood every step of the process. He never once pressured me to buy and even talked me out of making an offer or two on homes that weren't right for me. Pat is a trustworthy agent, highly professional, ethical, and seems well-known in the realtor community. He also knows his stuff when it comes to the quality and construction of a home. He pointed out a lot of things I would have never paid attention to and provided good estimates of home repair costs. I would highly recommend Pat to first-time home buyers or anyone looking for a highly experienced and knowledable realtor. Michelle G.

Pat recently helped me find a new home (condo to be exact) and sell my home. I interviewed several realtors before choosing Pat based on another's recommendation. Having really gone through the real estate process on my own for the first time, I'm glad I chose Pat. He is always professional, calm and thorough. I appreciated his expertise, and he took the time to always answer my questions and walk me through terms. He's also a straight shooter with a wonderful sense of humor and doesn't try sugar coat anything which I find refreshing in a realtor and efficient.
I would certainly recommend Pat to my friends and family. Cathy B

I've worked with Pat for seven years, in buying two homes and selling one. He is wonderful--he listens carefully, thoroughly researches issues, and responds quickly. He is extremely knowledgeable of the market and he gave me valuable information about houses as we were inspecting them. He was able to point out positives and negatives more thoroughly than the eventual home inspection. He has a invaluable list of referrals (from insulators to plumbers to contractors) and I've had great service from all of his recommendations).
My search was for my second home was protracted and I looked both in north Seattle and West Seattle, and Pat logged many hours and miles as he helped me in my search. He was always calm, helpful, and patient, willing to explain the big picture and trends in the housing market that might affect my decision.
He is extremely helpful in the selling process as well. He assessed the cost benefit of various repairs and improvements, and again helped me find the right people to help me get my house ready to put on the market. He did a thorough analysis of the current market that was very helpful in my decision making.
He has been extremely professional and also encouraging when I got frustrated that I wouldn't find what I was looking for. As both buyer and seller I felt I 've had a strong ally whom I could trust and count on for an accurate view of the situation and help in negotiating the process. Ruth W

We sold our home this past summer and purchased another home to move to. Owning and selling homes is arguably the biggest decision people have, given the amount of money often involved. Big financial and emotional decision(s). Having the right realtor can make the process much easier. We know quite a few realtors in our neighborhood. Selecting the person who would best serve our needs was an interesting, difficult and challenging task. We needed a person that we could have honest and hard discussions with. We needed a realtor who was experienced, calm under the pressure of the process of buying and selling homes, and could guide us in the right direction when we had hard decisions to make. We have known Pat Corr for many years. Pat was the perfect choice for us. Early on Pat proved to be an excellent listener as we defined what we were looking for in a new home. Pat listened to us and changed his approach and plan accordingly. Pat gave us sound advice throughout the process of selling our home as well. In all the problems and issues that arose Pat gave us expert advice on what the best decision was, and guided us as we made the decision. And there sure are a lot of issues and questions and things to be aware of. Fortunately Pat Corr was there the whole time and his experience and insights proved to be very valuable. Pat's calm demeanor was perfect for us. Pat was the right choice for our real estate needs. Bill P.

Pat Corr is the best realtor I have ever had. I worked with Pat for about 5 months as I searched for a house in and around the 98115 area. Pat's knowledge of the area was unbelievable. Because of his experience, he pretty much had been in every house that went on the market. I met Pat at all hours of the day and all days of the week and he was professional and enthusiastic every time. I ended up getting the exact house I wanted (I was looking between $400k and $525k) and Pat negotiated an incredible deal in a tight market. Bottom line, you want a great realtor, Pat Corr is your man. Thank me later. Steve M.

First and foremost, Pat Corr is a nice, honest and up-front person. As first time home buyers, my wife and I appreciated this as we had many questions the first time we met with Pat. He listened very patiently and answered each question thoroughly and respectfully, giving a realistic picture of what to expect in the home buying process. I was thoroughly impressed how much I learned from listening to Pat in just one meeting, confirming he was the man for us.
Pat has expert knowledge of the Ravenna, Wedgwood, and essentially all of NE Seattle, which are his home neighborhoods. After learning this, my wife and I were concerned Pat would refer us to somebody else specializing in north of Seattle areas, the area we were targeting. Never fear, that was never discussed and we got down to business, looking at some homes a couple days later, all north of Seattle.
The process of seeing homes was surprisingly very smooth, mainly because Pat is very calm but at the same time very direct with what he says. At our first visit, Pat pointed out many details to be looking for in our search, ranging from what materials were used in the construction to signs of home upkeep or lack thereof. Pat found us a home that met our needs in the area we wanted, and he negotiated a great price. We really felt like he was on our side during this process.
I have already recommended Pat to one of my best friends and I would absolutely recommend him to anybody looking to buy a home. We were very lucky that he was our agent.

I am first time home buyer and knew of Pat through friends of the family. Not only is he experienced, he is also affable and really personable. Having little to no knowledge of being a homeowner and everything that goes with it, except if you count watching shows on the HGTV network as a reference base, that was me and Pat was exactly what I needed. He is extremely knowledgeable and informed and never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. As I write this, I'm realizing that I was not his only client, but when I was working with him, it sure seemed like it and he always made himself available to show me something or to answer any question I may have had. Right off the bat, I knew I was in good hands. He started by showing homes that were in my price range and he was able to narrow our search down once he got an understanding of what I was looking for. Pat told me that he tended to be somewhat conservative, but when the time came when I wanted to make an offer, he said that he would advance and become much more aggressive to get the job done. The education that I gained from my "shopping" trips with Pat is invaluable. Having such a wide knowledge base, Pat taught me to not only look at the countertops and pretty stainless steel appliances, but to also look at the materials of the building, the sidewalk, the drainage, the drawers, water pressure, etc. There are so many things to look at and evaluate that some people may not even be aware. I feel lucky to have been with such a considerate and steadfast agent. Thanks Pat!

I recently worked with Pat in purchasing my fist home up in Seattle, and could not have been happier with his services. He has an incredible knowledge of the Seattle real estate market, which he is very skilled at communicating to his client, allowing me to feel that I had a solid grasp of all aspects of the process.
In our search, I had very narrow requirements on price and location--nevertheless, Pat was excellent in finding a large variety of interesting properties fitting the bill. From his broad background in construction, he was able to guide me through the fine details of each property, pointing out subtle pros and cons that I otherwise likely would have missed.
He strikes a very good balance in the decision making process: after each house tour, he was always ready with cogent and insightful advice, but was still unbiased in allowing me to reach my own conclusions, guided by his advice. He was very much "on my side" through the whole endeavor, with his focus being on helping me to find exactly the right place, rather than simply moving along towards a purchase.
Pat was a great resouce also through the closing phase. While things got a bit bumpy at the end, Pat kept a level head throughout, managing expectations on both buy and sell side, and working effectively to bring the deal to a happy conclusion.
Overall, I highly recommend Pat, and will certainly get in touch with him next time I am in the real estate market--his professionalism, knowledge of all aspects of the real estate business, and levelheadedness in the face of challenges truly set him apart, and he was a joy to work with from start to finish! We recently worked with Pat to purchase our first home, and he was amazing.
We were looking in an extremely tough market, and were seriously constrained by budget. Looking at homes with Pat was an incredibly informative experience. He'd walk us through each home and show us potential problem areas, many of which I would have completely missed. Like other reviewers said, he gives you information but definitely does not push you to make a decision.
In addition to walking us through the houses, Pat was always ready with referrals for other work needed (inspections, subcontractors, etc). Everyone we've worked with referred to us by Pat has shown the same level of thoroughness and professionalism that he has.
In the end, the very first house Pat showed us ended up being the one we bought. To me this encapsulates how well he understands his customers, the market, and home quality. Jason W

Pat is incredible. Sit down with him and after the first ten minutes you'll know you've found your real estate agent. I could just leave it at that and call it a day, because honestly that's the long and the short of it. However if you need more conviction, then by all means please read ahead.
First off Pat came to me as a recommendation from a trusted friend, because nobody these days makes important decisions without first asking around a bit. With it being a seller's market (average house sold within 6 days of listing), and us buyers, we wanted someone with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Someone who knew how to navigate and could put us in the most advantageous position possible. So Pat - with 30+ years experience in the area, and coming recommended - was an obvious candidate. After getting in contact with him, my wife and I went down to his office to chat about our house hunting needs, and as I mentioned previously, we knew we found our agent within the first ten minutes. This was our first time buying a house, and going into it we were a little nervous due to our admittedly high level of ignorance in the residential field. We explained our situation to Pat, and he immediately set us at ease by walking us through a crash course in residential real estate. We got an overview of how everything works, as well as a very honest assessment of the current market. There was no arrogance or condescension, only patience - he deftly answered every question we could throw at him. By the end of that first meeting (which took a couple hours due to all of our questions) we had a plan of attack, and had already booked our first tour. Not only that, but he also recommended we talk to a few mortgage brokers, two of which he connected me with. After talking to a total of three, we ended up choosing one of his recommendations over the guy we originally were going to work with; the level of quality and professionalism in his recommendations were noticeably superior.
To respect your time I'll speed things up a bit here. We had assembled a crack team between Pat and Jay at Cornerstone Lending, and after several tours we found a house that my wife and I both had fallen in love with; time to take action. After a pre-inspection the next day, we sat down with Pat immediately after and assembled our offer. He walked us through every detail, and explained the options available to us in order to make our offer as appealing and competitive as possible. The following Monday we received the thrilling news that the seller had picked our offer over other, higher offers - needless to say we were elated. I learned after the fact that Pat had called Jay, and the two of them had independently called the seller on our behalf - working behind the scenes to help us into an even better position.
The story doesn't end there however, and we encountered a slew of issues all stemming from the listing agents' side. There were several times after signing the initial agreement when it looked like the deal would fall apart. At every dramatic twist and turn, Pat was on the ball, constantly keeping us informed via a combination of email, text, and phone calls. In the end when the dust settled, we found ourselves as homeowners and successful investors, as the house was already valued over what we paid for it.
TL;DR version: No matter if this is your first or fifth house, make it easier on yourself and go with Pat, you will in no way regret it. Owen

What can I say (or write) about Pat? If I wanted to summarize my dealings with him in just one word it would be "amazing."
Like most of the other posts here, my wife and I were referred to Pat from family friends when looking to buy a house in NE Seattle in 2005. We feel very fortunate that we were referred to him. We were able to get into a house in the Wedgwood neighborhood that had at least 3 other bids on it - and it was the first house we bid on during a very hot seller's market! After we bought the house, Pat kept in touch with us, and would always say hi if we saw him around the neighborhood.
When my wife and I decided that we were going to start the house search again earlier this year, it was a no brainer. We contacted Pat to get his advice on how to go about it. We decided to put our house up for sale before buying a new place, and attempt to negotiate a rent-back on the house to give us time to find a new place. After following Pat's advice on getting our house ready, we had 3 offers above asking price the first week, and we were able to get the rent back. We feel that Pat was instrumental in making the sale go as smoothly as possible. He gave great advice on pricing and how to make the house sale ready.
Then we started looking for a new house. Pat really excelled at telling us about any practical issues with the houses that we were looking at. While we were busy looking at the "design" of the houses, Pat was looking at the construction quality, the foundation, the state of the appliances, etc. He was very thorough in his advice. We found a house we liked very quickly after selling ours, and with Pat's advice we were able to to get the house even though they were looking at another offer. Again, it was our first offer.
Although buying and selling real estate can be stressful, Pat helped us through all of the process and was great at explaining all of the paperwork in great detail. If you are looking at buying or selling real estate in the Seattle area (and especially NE Seattle) you can't go wrong with Pat!

We chose Patrick Corr to list our home in View Ridge after hearing positive reports from two families who had used him successfully to sell their homes in Laurelhurst and View Ridge. Patrick was thorough in his market analysis of our home and presented it to us confidently. His background in accounting and knowledge of home construction and finance proved valuable for our understanding of the process.
Patrick listened to us, guided us through important decisions every step of the way, and helped us make smart choices. He worked hard for us and earned our trust, making himself available on short notice when necessary. Patrick conducted himself professionally at all times, and took the time to be meticulous about listing and selling details.
Patrick was a good fit for us as novices, explaining the process, providing structure around scheduling, and represented our home with integrity. The home sold quickly for an excellent price. We would choose Patrick again.

Pat Corr helped us buy a home in View Ridge recently. He was great in many ways -
understood what we were looking for in a house (size and location)
returned calls, texts, and emails promptly
offered good advice when asked
was willing and available to meet inspectors and workers at the house
had contact information for anything we needed a real estate lawyer, electrician, plumber, etc.
helped structure a competitive offer on the house we wanted, but also protected us from potential liabilities
Pat was straightforward in his communications, patient in working with us, honest, and sincere in his desire to help. He moved quickly and helped us find a house quickly. We are happy to recommend him and would use him again if the need arises.

I absolutely ADORE Pat and have referred him to countless friends both buying and selling homes -- I hope I never have to buy or sell without him!! We had a short buying window, as we were renters who had to either buy our home or move. Since we had no plans of buying when we were give that option, we were forced to go from renters to learners to homeowners in barely over a month. Where would we have been without Pat?! He helped us navigate the entire home buying process, figure out what we needed to look for in our home (as prospective buyers rather than as renters), compare our current home to about 30 others (so we wouldn't buy our own rental house without doing a fair comparison of the market) -- all within a month (!).
Pat is someone you can trust. He did a lot more market comparative work for us than we even knew needed to be done, but he wanted to make sure that we had all the information we would need to make an informed buying decision. Most important for me was that he was ALWAYS willing to answer my many, many questions, and did so in a way that made me comfortable asking as many more as needed. He was super knowledgeable about our local market, and provided the calm voice of reason and experience that I very much needed during what was otherwise a hectic whirlwind of a home buying experience.
We were referred to Pat by someone in our neighborhood, and will be forever grateful to have landed such a trustworthy and capable agent on our first shot. We've been glad to share his name with anyone and everyone, and upward of 12 people we've referred him to have also benefited from his advice and services.
Strongly and most heartily recommended!!
